Four hundred houses off Kedleston Road...and a new application    January 18, 2016

As you know, Catesby Estates have appealed AVBC’s refusal on 6 July 2015 to
grant them outline planning permission to build up to 400 houses. That appeal is
going ahead and is scheduled to begin on 19 July 2016 with Quarndon Parish
Council and Kedleston Voice united in opposing it at the hearing.

However, Catesby Estates have now submitted a further application for outline
planning permission encompassing only a portion of the original plot (extending from
Memorial Road as far as Quarn Drive) and for up to 195 houses this time.

Once again there are hundreds of pages of evidence submitted to support their
application, which will all have to be reviewed before the your Parish Council can
reach a conclusion and make representations to Amber Valley. Note; the appeal to
application (AVA/2014/0928) and this new application (AVA/2015/1243) are separate to
each other and we will need to make separate representations on both cases for
consideration.

QPC meets next on Monday 25 January at 19.30 in the lower committee room of the
village hall and we would be delighted to see you and to hear your views
